This Privacy Policy describes how MOYMICS PRIVATE LIMITED ("we," "us," or "our"), operating the Tejaas mobile application ("App" or "Service"), collects, uses, and protects your personal information. By using Tejaas, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our Service:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, phone number (for OTP login), and profile photo (if provided via Google Sign-In).
- Health & Nutrition Data: Meals logged (food name, calories, protein, carbs, fat), water intake, workout/gym logs, weight entries, and daily nutrition goals.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers for crash reporting and analytics.
- Usage Data: App usage patterns, feature interactions, and session data to improve user experience.
- Voice Data: When you use voice-based meal logging, your audio is temporarily processed via OpenAI Whisper API for transcription. Audio is not stored permanently.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Tejaas app and its features
- To personalize your nutrition tracking experience and calorie goals
- To process and analyze your meal data using AI (OpenAI GPT-4o-mini)
- To send you meal reminders and push notifications (with your permission)
- To generate nutrition analytics, reports, and insights
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To communicate with you about updates, features, and support
- To process payments and manage subscriptions (via Razorpay)
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase cloud servers located in Mumbai, India (ap-south-1 region). We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Secure authentication via Google OAuth 2.0 and OTP verification
- API keys and sensitive credentials stored as environment variables, never in client code
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Tejaas:
- Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage (Mumbai, India)
- OpenAI: Meal analysis (GPT-4o-mini) and voice transcription (Whisper API)
- Google: Google Sign-In authentication
- Adcrux Media: SMS OTP delivery for phone-based login
- Railway: Backend API hosting
- Razorpay: Payment processing (when applicable)
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your data only in these circumstances:
- With third-party service providers listed above, solely to operate the app
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of MOYMICS PRIVATE LIMITED or its users
- In anonymized/aggregated form for analytics and research (no personally identifiable information)
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time
- Correction: You can update your profile and personal information in the app
- Deletion: You can request deletion of all your data via Settings → Delete All My Data. Deletion will be processed within 7 working days.
- Export: You can request an export of your data by contacting us at business@tejaas.in
- Opt-out: You can disable notifications, revoke permissions, or uninstall the app at any time
7. Children's Privacy
Tejaas is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted within 7 working days. You may log back in within this period to cancel the deletion request and restore your data. After 7 days, deletion is irreversible.
9. Cookies & Tracking
The Tejaas mobile app does not use cookies. Our website (tejaas.in) may use minimal analytics cookies for traffic analysis. No advertising cookies or trackers are used.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Tejaas after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
